Why do some people always make it seem being single in your 20s is the worst thing you could possibly do? When I was younger, I said to myself at 25 I would be married and have children. I am now 26 and I have no husband or children, and you know what, I am totally fine with that. I'm not preaching that being single in your 20s is the best thing, but for me, it is. I can be completely selfish with every aspect of my life. My decisions won't affect anyone else, and that's exactly what I need right now.

Once you've passed a certain age and are still relationship-less, (even though it's by choice) you get thrown into two groups;

1. You're being to picky. I didn't realise having a type was a bad thing? And what's with all the rush? The world isn't suddenly going to run out of men. I'm not at a restaurant where they've run out of my 1st choice meal and I have to quickly find something else on the menu I kinda like; this is somebody I'm planning on spending the rest of my life with. I will take a long as I like.

2. You must be doing something wrong. The only thing I'm doing is not looking for a boyfriend. I'm not in a hurry to settle down. Atabsolutelyfinding out who I am. I can barely commit to a series on Netflix, let alone be committed to another human being.

I absoubly love being single, and you know why, because it's a choice, not a consequence. No matter if you're single and loving it, or single and hating it, I have put together a set of my favourite quotes just to let every single singleton in their 20s know that it's ok not to have found 'the one' yet, and to completely embrace your freedom.
