sanctuary spa salt scrub

I have never been so excited to write a review straight after using a product. If you haven't already guessed, today I'm going to be talking about the Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub. I was strolling through boots on one of my many visits, (I go there a lot) and was having a little look at the miniature products to see if there was anything I could sample, (plus they make me feel like a giant when I'm holding them). I came across the salt scrub which was in a paper type sachet allowing me to feel the grains of the salt. It was quite corse, which is what I'm always looking for with a scrub. Like I've said many times before, I have no self-control and ended up buying the full sized product.

I've just discovered the best salt scrub from @sanctuaryspa #bbloggers

The salt scrub comes in a 650g jar at £11.50, and you only need to use a small amount so it will last a while. I use the scrub once a week, if you have dry skin or a certain area which is quite dry, you can use it twice but I wouldn't recommend using it more than that. Scrubs always work better on damp skin as it's got some moisture to work with. I also find it easier to use an exfoliating glove, it helps the scrub to really work into the skin. I just scoop a small amount into my fingertips and work it around my body in small circular motions. The ingredients include sea salt from the Dead Sea, and jojoba, coconut and almond, which forms the moisturising oils. As written on the jar "the salt gently exfoliates dead cells to stimulate and promote renewal, the oils soak into skin leaving it gleaming and exquisitely scented". When you open the jar, you'll notice a thick layer of oil, this is what soaks into your skin and leaves it soft, and I mean really really really soft. This is what I loved so much about this scrub, compared to some of the others I have tried; they all exfoliate your skin which is what you expect, but this scrub just leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I suggest you still moisturise after, as the sea salt can be dehydrating for your skin. I use the Sanctuary Spa Body Butter which smells exactly the same as the salt scrub, so they both compliment each other well.

VERDICT:

I have tried a lot of scrubs and this, hands down would have to be my favourite. I can't really think of any negatives about this product. I have been researching into Sanctuary Spa and they have a range of body exfoliators, including a Hot Sugar Scrub, which once I'm finished with this salt scrub, I'll definitely be trying! I recommend this scrub to anyone who is after something that will really work into your skin and get rid of your dead skin whilst still moisturising. You can even buy the sample size to test, but I know you'll be going back asap to buy the full size.

Let me know in the comments below what's your favourite body scrub, or if you have tried any of the other Sanctuary Spa body scrubs and what you would recommend.
