Now we are officially in spring, and with summer here next month, we have no excuse not to paint our nails beautiful colours. My usual go to colour palette for spring is the 'ice cream palette', which is made up of pastel pink, green, yellow, purple and blue. For this spring, I thought I would go for something a little different, a few light colours, mixed with some light neutrals; a real pick and mix.

The two light shades of colour are 'In A Heart Beat' and 'Road Rage', both by Barry M, and both part of their speedy quick dry collection. As well as the quick drying formula, they come with a flat brush, making it easy and quick to apply (although I still get it all over my fingers). I've brought these two recently, and I haven't been wearing anything else since. 'In A Heart Beat' is a slight shade darker than a pastel pink, more of a light salmon colour, and it's very different to any of the pinks I own (which is a lot). 'Road Rage' is a cross between light green and mint green, and again, a shade darker than a pastel. Every single colour from this collection are perfect for spring and summer, I think I'm going to rename them the 'jelly beans palette' as that's exactly what they remind me of.

The next three shades are from Berry M's gelly collection; 'Lychee', 'Blueberry', and 'Chai'. 'Blueberry' is similar to the collection mentioned above, I just think the colour is a lot more pigmented and brighter. It's a cross between baby blue and carolina blue, and is my favourite shade of blue I own. It's one of those colours which goes with any outfit, whether it clashes or compliments. 'Lychee' and 'Chai' are the neutral colours and were my main choice during autumn. They are great alternatives to a white or a clear paint, and I really think they pop against the coloured shades.

If you're like me and can never pick between colours, definitely go for all five. If you only want a few, I recommended 'Chai' and 'In A Heart Beat' or 'Lychee' and 'Road Rage', with the addition of 'Blueberry' to each.
