LWS Loves... Bloggers

February is the month of love, and in the words of Wet Wet Wet, "love is all around me, and so the feeling grows." It's a nice time to share the love, and let people know how much you appreciate them. I know, I know, I should be doing this all the time, but I am so awful at being o.t.t. with this whole love thing. I always say my thank yous, and you'll definitely get a little squeeze from me, so they do know I am appreciative, but I guess it's time to really show them how much a certain group of people mean to me.

Seeing as I can't squeeze all of them, (I so wish I could), I'm going to dedicate this post to a community of guys and gals who have been my supporters, advisers, and have welcomed me with open arms. Who am I talking about? Of course I am talking about bloggers.

Being a blogger is hard. You literally put all your hard work out there for the entire world to view and judge, and it can be pretty daunting. Even though there is no "official" way of blogging, when you first join the community you're looking around for advice and reassurance to know what you're doing is ok. To know that people are reading your work and are enjoying it. To know the tips and ideas you have created are being shared and are beneficial. I honestly love nothing more than reading a comment where somebody has taken the time to express their liking for my post, used it for inspiration, or taken on my advice. I get this warm fuzzy feeling knowing people like my work.

The best way I love to communicate with bloggers is on Twitter. I like to see it as a virtual hang-out for bloggers. It's where I've been introduced to some of my favourite blogs and bloggers, where I find out about new posts and my favourite media to promote mine, and where you have group chats, movie nights and so many more fun things. You get a real sense of community and I just love it.

One thing I hate about blogging is some people don't understand it, or worse, they don't try to understand it. You know bloggers get you and will always have your back. When you lose passion, and you need a confidence boost, who do you turn to? Bloggers. When you need advice on an idea, who do you turn to? Bloggers. If you need help promoting your posts, who do you turn to? Bloggers.

.@helloaycan is sharing all the reasons why she loves the blogging community

I honestly don't think my blog would have grown the way it has, or I would feel so proud and confident about my work without the help from the community. Every single little thing is appreciated, whether it was sharing a post, commenting your thoughts, liking a photo, or even reading this post right now. Thank you all so much.

I would love to share this love back. I'm going to make a promise, and I hope you can join in too. From now on, every time I read a post I enjoy, I will comment. If I see a new blogger, I will help to promote their posts. I will tweet bloggers to let them know I am loving their work. It's these little things we can do to help grow this community bigger, stronger, and more damn badass!

This has probably been one of the hardest posts I've ever had to write and edit. I felt a lot of pressure to get it right as I want bloggers to think "yes, that's the blogging community I'm proud to be in." For all the non-bloggers, I want them to think "what a great community, let me join in," and if you're thinking about starting a blog, come join us, we can't wait to see what you have to offer.

I'm going to share my love and appreciation to some of my favourite bloggers. These aren't all the bloggers I love, (there are literally so many), but I have picked a few who I love dearly, whether it's because of the support they've given me and my blog, how much effort they put with the entire community, or the fact their blog is so damn cool. Make sure you check them all out and show them some support.

Aliyah of Absolutely Aliyah is the ultimate sweetheart. I was having a pretty shitty time at the end of 2016, and she gave me the confidence to know that it's ok to take time away from your blog and that your health is more important. For that, I am most grateful. I admire her honest attitude which is reflected in her posts, and her twitter feed is always keeping me entertained.

Confessions Of A Short Girl

Both Aliyah and I are shorts girls. We both have the same problems of being used as an armrest, but she does make some great points, especially about rocking anything as a dress.

I'm sure if you know Jemma of Dorkface, you could rename her as the Queen of blogging. Not only does she have her blog, she runs The Girl Gang, which is a community for bloggers, and an Etsy store. She was one of the first bloggers after my year break who really made me feel at home in the community, and gave me such a huge confidence boost. I would love to think that we both share the same sort of blogging aesthetics; we love to keep things positive and inspirational, and our pictures are always cute af.

Prep Your Bullet Journal For 2017

As I mentioned above, Jemma has her own Etsy store, and this post really shows off her stickers. I don't know if it's because I'm a real 90's girl, but stickers on everything makes it so much better! They're great little pops of colour to add to your diary or bullet journal... that reminds me, I need to start mine soon.

Angelika of Angelikablogs is an absolute darling of the blogging world. She is always there to share love and spread positivity. I have also just discovered her youtube channel, and I can't wait to start binge watching these.

17 Ways To Make 2017 Better

Angelika has shared some the best ways to start the year. I would definitely have to agree with appreciating things. We are lucky for what we have, no matter how big or small, and should be thankful each and every day.

I discovered Rosario of Rosarioverse only a few weeks ago. I am instantly drawn to anyone who shares the same taste in music, and when I saw her most recent post featured a photo of a Pierce The Veil album, I knew I had to follow. I love how she is a fan of punk-rock music, yet has the cutest style ever. I'm looking forward to seeing what Rosarioverse has to offer this year.

Being A Crybaby & Seeing Melanie Martinez Live!

It makes me nothing but jealous knowing that Rosario has seen Melanie Martinez live. I love her music, and her style is cute, yet twisted at the same time. Rosario shares her 'crybaby' inspired looks (which she looks amazing in), and a few snapshots from the show.

Fact: I used the word 'love' 21 times in this post. Let me know in the comments below one reason why you love the blogging community, and any advice you'd give to people looking to start their own blog.
