high street spring fashion shoes

With spring now firmly in its place, it's time for us to throw out those ankle boots and bring back your spring shoes and sandals. As much as I love my boots, nothing compares to my love for ankle strap sandals and t-bar shoes; maybe it's because they're easier to style with socks, or maybe it's because I just love this time of the year. I've trailed through the high-streets to find you the very best, and I'm sure you can tell the style I like to go for.

I think it would only be right to start off with my favourite pair, which are the MACEY Fringe T-Bar Flat Shoes from ASOS. Fringed shoes are always a must for me during spring! The duck-egg blue colouring is perfect paired with dark denim, and a floaty white blouse. I think I've mentioned before I'm not a huge fan of trainers, but the perfect alternative is a pair of from American Apparel. If you know American Apparel, then you'll know these come in a range of colours and patterns. These are great for your springtime adventures, paired with high-waisted shorts and a t-shirt.

I have found the perfect pair of summer flats. thanks @helloaycan #fbloggers

The jelly shoe were huge last year, and they're going to be back this year too! Just like American Apparel, you can find them in a lot of colours, but I've gone for the Maxi Low Jelly in Apple from JUJU. These are the original companion to be paired with lace trim socks. Does anyone else remember buying theirs from Woolworths in the 90s? Oh the memories. If jelly shoes aren't exactly your thing but you like the style, the Faux Leather Flatform Sandal from Forever 21 are for you. It's still got that 90s retro vibe, so pair yours with disco pants. I think an all-round staple shoe is the Leather Sandal with Ankle Strap in brown from Pull & Bear. Pair these with a denim jacket and a cream midi skirt for the perfect day look.

My go to place for shoes has to be The White Pepper. Their new range is to die for, but my favourite is the Oxford Bow Lace Up in lilac and grey. I love the front with the cute bow detail which incorporates into the laces, and the colour combination is just fab. I think we can all agree that the main theme throughout this post is the ankle strap flats, so let's talk about a few more! The Janie Ankle Strap Flat Shoe from Deena & Ozzy, and the JAMILA Laser Cut Two Part Sandal from ASOS are alike in style, (open toe and laser cut details), but with the ASOS pair being holographic, it means it can be paired with anything in your wardrobe, which is always a plus when you're choosing your wardrobe staples. I see the Deena & Ozzy red flat to be paired with a black smock dress to bring that pop of colour.

Let me know in the comments below which pair is your favourite, and what you're looking forward to most this spring.
