I've been rummaging through the sales to bring you my January favourites. Well I say rummage, but I did it online, so it was more scrolling through. The last of the best pieces are selling out fast, so make sure you're quick! For some unintentional reason, I seem to have gone for a raspberry/gold theme (minus the denim). I have always been inspired by the fashion of the 80's, and the red tartan jacket from River Island is such an iconic piece. It's a versatile jacket which can be layered for the winter, or worn during the spring as a lightweight jacket. Satchels are something every girl should own, and the contrasting cranberry satchel from The Whitepepper is a must. The colours are so bold and defining, it will become a staple piece to any look. It can be worn as either a backpack or as a briefcase, but I'd always go with the backpack; it has a very 90's Clueless feel about it.

A red tartan blazer and ankle-cuffed mary jane flats are January must haves!

I'm like a little child when it comes to shiny things, I get drawn towards them, and these metallic shorts from Zara is something I've had my eyes on for a while. They can easily be styled up with a basic t-shirt, or worn with a collared blouse and flats. When it comes to footwear, I have two types of styles I tend to stick with; the chunky heeled shoes like the 'Rough and Ready' ankle boots from ASOS, or a petite flat like the ankle-cuff Mary Jane's from Mango. I tend to keep the outfits similar, and just change between the shoe to rework the look.
