As it was so hot at the beginning of the week, I was planning on doing a summer outfit for this weeks Little White Wednesday, but obviously living in England, the sun did not last. I thought why not use this as inspiration for this weeks look; an interchangeable look so you're prepared for the cold times during the summer.

The playsuit from New Look is in a floral print in a mix of vivid shades toned down with dark colours. This has such a lovely fit with small pleats in the waistband and sleeves creating a soft drape, which falls perfectly on the body. It has gold buttons down the centre and a keyhole fastening at the back. An effortless piece for the summer... but oh no, in comes the wind blasting through! No need to worry, we have the denim jacket. This goes with pretty much anything and comes in a variety of coloured denims, so it can easily be styled into your outfit. If you're feeling courageous, go with a denim gilet or you can cut up an old jacket. I love the raw edge vintage feel that this creates. The flatform boots from ASOS is a great addition to the summer look, but can still be worn with tights without looking like you're set for the winter weather. The white lace trims on the ankle socks give a break up from the all the black.

I found this bag rummaging through my sisters wardrobe, (there is no organisation in there *weeps*) and it has two styles in one. How is that possible I hear you cry, well, you can have it as a standard rucksack and wear it over two shoulders but if you are a one shoulder strap kind of person, there is a zip between the straps so you can make it into one. Such a simple and clever idea *jots down for future*. I don't really wear too much black so I have customised the bag by adding a few flowers just to bring some colour and make it ever so pretty.

The necklace is a whimsical piece with a little vintage mirror and ribbon. Very Alice In Wonderland. To coincide with the gold buttons on the playsuit, I've added these gold and blue bow earrings by Betsey Johnson and a pack of gold rings from ASOS, each with a different coloured gem. As the palette is already quite sparse, muted or vivid nail paints would all complement the outfit. I have gone for Lemon Icecream, Bright Pink and Cyan Blue all from Barry M, perfect to brighten up even those dullest summer days.

Let me know in the comments below how you like to create your interchangeable summer looks.
