As I am writing this, the sun is beaming through my window and the one thing that excites me most about the summer (other than ice-cream) is my summer wardrobe. Don't get me wrong, I like chunky knits but there is nothing better than a shirt, floral shorts and sandals.

While searching for a new addition to my summer wardrobe, I came across this smock dress on ASOS called 'Wall Flower' (also available in curve). Made in a soft cotton-blend with a beautiful floral print covering the entire dress, and the text ‘Wall Flower’ printed across the front. With a gathered waistline, it's a simple, relaxed dress, perfect for the summer.

I have paired the dress with a cropped black leather jacket because as you know, the weather in England is never that great, so something light is definitely necessary. If you’re feeling brave or lucky enough to have a true summer,  try a leather gilet instead. If you’re not into leather, a light washed denim jacket or gilet is also a good alternative. I absolutely adore these leather 'round toe walker boots' in pink from The Whitepepper. They are THE most comfortable shoes and will most definitely be walking into a lot more of my fashion sets, (see what I did there? walking into… haha oh dear Aycan). They’re currently sold out but they are available in beige. The outfit itself is quite minimal so I have chosen this simple white box shoulder bag with a plaited strap and woven detail. This is actually my mum's wedding bag, true vintage!

I can’t seem to get enough florals so I have added this cute floral crown from Camden Flowers. If you feel there is too much floral, you can just use a plain headband or other hair accessories you have. I am a huge fan of long necklaces with novelty charms so I have chosen a cheerleader from Betsey Johnson. Yes, I have to admit, she is actually missing an arm and two pompoms, but she is still awesome at cheer!

I like to call these the 'ice-cream' palette. From L-R Lemon I/C, Strawberry I/C, Blue Moon, Berry I/C and Mint Green, all from Barry M. I like to experiment with colour when it comes to nail paint so I like to wear them as a set, but if multi-coloured nails aren’t your thing, then any of these shade will go perfectly with your outfit. They are muted tones that will bring a bit of colour to any outfit.

Just in case you hadn't noticed, I love accessories. You can buy really nice bracelet packs from River Island, ranging from £10-£15, which is where these are from. I have picked a couple of them as I didn't want to cover my entire arm with bracelets, but they're a great option if you like to mix and match your jewellery. The 'Believe' double ring from Disney Couture, is my personal statement piece, bringing a little shine to any outfit.
