Wadded Check Sweat // Xhatch Formal Backpack // Faux Shearling Ovoid Jacket // Top Handle Bag In Checkerboard // Blucher With Fringes // Diamond Luxe // Spike Hinge Cuff // Frill Panel Insert Smock Dress // Jewel Trinket Pendant // Volcano Ring // Dogtooth Contrast Trim Wrap Skirt // Brit Lace Up Boots

Even though we are now in October, and are well into the autumn season, I still think I'm having trouble with the summer to autumn transition. Am I the only one who just thinks you can add a pair of tights to any sort of summer dress and class it as a winter look?

I think I've mentioned The Whitepepper in a few posts before, but I cannot express how much I fall in love with their dresses, especially their smocks. What I love about this smock dress (which was inspired by a fry-up), is the added detailing with the panel inserts around both shoulders, the weighty fabric, and it's rich mustard colouring...I do feel quite guilty leaving this beauty in the store *weeps*. Backpacks are in this season, and after getting one for my birthday, I wanted needed another, and found this xhatch formal backpack from New Look. It's in a cobalt blue colour and has a leather-look finish, and I just love the gold detailing. As the a-line skirts are on trend at the moment, I wasn't sure if they would suit me as I'm not really for anything quite so bodycon, but I thought I might as well try, and I was pleasantly surprised how they suited me, sort of a bad thing too as I'm going to have to add these to my wardrobe. Seeing as I was pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I thought I might as well push it further with this yellow dogtooth wrap skirt from River Island. I love the oversized yellow dogtooth print, and contrasting chunky black trim, if I'm pushing myself, I might as well do it in style, right?

A dogtooth contrasting trim wrap skirt and a checkerboard bag are October must haves! #fbloggers

I don't think the picture of the blucher fringed shoes from Zara do it much justice. I love a good pair of smart black shoes, but the way the fringe is folded into the shoes with the laces tied in a perfect bow in the middle; it's such a sleek shoe. I've chosen a few of my favourite jewellery pieces, but I love the spike hinge cuff by Rachel Roy. It's such a sophisticated piece, and a real statement for the autumn season. I'm going to give up with this 'no more nail paint' policy which for some crazy reason I gave myself; it's not going to happen. The new Models Own collection (I say new, they've announced a new collection this morning), is the Diamond Luxe, which contains real diamond dust, how fabulous! I have chosen 'Marquise Maroon', 'Asscher Blue', and 'Princess Pink', though I really could do with all the colours.

Comment below and let me know what you are wanting this October.
